Pronounced Shu- my, its the welsh for Hi! Welcome to our blog.
My name is Kate Morris. I live with my partner and two small children (C and JoJo) at ‘the farm upon the hill’ in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. My partner (F) farms a herd of dairy cows and I work as a vet. I also have a degree in Zoology.

The farm upon the hill is a mixed dairy, beef and arable farm of around 430 acres situated in West Wales. We milk approximately 150 Holstein x Friesian dairy cows plus followers (heifer calves that go into the dairy herd). We also raise our own bull calves and some beef cattle too. Wild mammal species include rabbits, foxes, badgers, moles, bats and a host of small rodents. We often see birds of prey around the farm, including Red kite, Barn Owl, Buzzard and Sparrowhawk. Starling flocks come to feed on the farm during the winter. Other bird life includes Jackdaws, Sparrows, Woodpecker, Pigeon, Doves, duck and geese. There is also room for reptiles and amphibians such Grass snakes and Toads. Insect species are to
